Troy Wood

Troy joined KPMG Acceleris as a Deals Execution Analyst after graduating with a 1^st  Class Honours degree in Business Management from Lancaster University. His  focus within the team is triaging high growth early-stage fundraising opportunities with a particular passion for Blockchain applications and space enabled technology.

Prior to joining the team Troy worked alongside the UK Space Agency to investigate the opportunity  of utilising Blockchain technology paired with terrestrial satellite architecture  to live stream black box data from aircraft on demand. Troy believes the  space sector will be an area of huge growth for the UK over the next decade and is excited to spot venture opportunities within this area.

In his personal  time, Troy is an avid adventurer completing survival camps with the likes of  wildlife TV personality Steve Backshall, and became the only person in the UK  to achieve every scout badge including the Queens Scout Award back in 2019. Some  of the highlights include designing UK Astronaut Tim Peake’s mission patch that he wore on the International Space Station, leading a team on a two-week expedition in The Rockies, New Mexico and receiving a Diana Award for  inspiring young people in Scouting to develop new skills and personal goals.
