Supporting high-growth businesses to succeed at Series-A with a fully-funded programme from KPMG
Navigating the investment market is hard: identifying and getting in front of the right investors, presenting a compelling funding proposition, being prepared for highly sophisticated investors, securing the best deal for you and your team – and all while tackling the day-to-day running of your business.
Layer on top of this the additional barrier of being a women-led business, and the odds literally seem stacked against you. To succeed in this environment, it’s important to have the right foundations of support around you as you scale –from peers, advisors and more experienced entrepreneurs – and we know you crave a safe space to learn: to ask questions; check understanding; and apply market guidance to your business.
So we created the KPMG Private Enterprise Access: Founded by Her programme for women leaders and founders looking to raise a Series A in the next 6-12 months. The bespoke, fully funded, programme provides practical, actionable advice delivered to a curated cohort of only 10-15 women, by expert and experienced individuals.
The programme runs from September to December and comprises of 4 key modules, supplemented with 1:1 sessions.
As well as meeting your cohort for the first time, we’ll be delivering a session on defining Series A before being joined by a VC investor to shed light on the VC mindset
Plus we’ll be joined by a woman founder that has been through the process who wil share their story, and learnings
Creating stand-out investment documents and being able to confidently tell your story is key - we will explore what key documents you need, and how to capture the investors attention. Plus, we will provide tailored insights from our Tax and Legal specialists who work with scaling businesses
Financial models and growth strategy – how this might differ to seed rounds and how investors critique models and assumptions plus expert advice from our Corporate Finance and KPMG Law teams on planning for your exit, and managing inbound interest along the way
We'll also be joined by a VC investor for conversation over lunch and further questions afterwards
Simulated pitch presentations with a panel of real VCs who will provide personalised, constructive feedback to enable you to really hone your deck and delivery
Following this we will celebrate our achievements over a private dinner with the cohort, KPMG and guests
There is also be the opportunity to deliver your pitch at a KPMG ‘Deal Drop’ event in front of a host of Series A investors, should you be ready
We are looking to work with businesses who:
